In thanksgiving, for a special intention, or for a loved one, whether living or deceased.
To have a Mass celebrated, simply let us know the intention you wish to entrust. For each Mass requested, it is customary to make an offering, the amount of which is set by the Bishops’ Conference of France:
- €18 for a Mass.
- €180 for a novena of Masses.
- €550 for a trental of Masses.
This financial contribution helps provide for the material support of the priests.
Please note: given the very large number of requests, we cannot commit to a specific date for the celebration of the Masses requested, nor to their place of celebration.
There are three ways to have a Mass celebrated:
1. During your visit, you can:
- go to the welcome desk in the Basilica and meet with a sister or a volunteer,
- fill in a Mass intention envelope available at the welcome desk and place your offering there.
2. Online, on the dedicated page of our website.
You can request the celebration of a Mass, a novena of Masses, or a trental of Masses (with credit card payment) online.
3. By mail.
Simply send us all the details, together with your offering, by cheque drawn on a French bank account, made payable to “Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre”, at the following address:
