In thanksgiving, for a special intention, for a living or deceased loved one.
To have a Mass celebrated, simply let us know the intention you wish to be included. For each Mass requested, it is customary to make an offering, the amount of which is set by the Conference of Bishops of France:
- €18 for a Mass.
- €180 for a novena.
- €550 for a trentain.
This financial contribution helps to support the priests’ material needs.
Please note: Due to the large number of requests, we are unable to commit to a specific date or location for the requested Masses.
During the month of November, the Church invites us to pray especially for our deceased loved ones. The greatest gift you can offer to someone who has passed away is to entrust them to the mercy of the Lord by having Masses said in their intention.
There are three ways to have a Mass celebrated:
1. During your visit, you can:
- Go to the reception desk in the basilica and speak to a sister or volunteer.
- Fill out a Mass intention envelope available at the reception desk and place your offering in it.
2. Online on the dedicated page of our website.
NEW: You can now request a Mass, a novena of Masses, or a trentain of Masses (payment by credit card) online.
3. By mail.
Simply send us all the details and your donation by French check made payable to “Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre” to the following address:
